As part of your PD treatment with levodopa/carbidopa, it's important to take XADAGO as your healthcare provider prescribes.

Getting Started1


XADAGO is a once-daily tablet available in two dose strengths: 50 mg and 100 mg.

The recommended starting dose of XADAGO is
50 mg once daily

After 2 weeks, your healthcare provider may decide to increase your dose to 100 mg once daily, if necessary

Once-daily XADAGO can be taken with or without food—and at any time of the day. If you are experiencing side effects, or feel like you’re not getting the symptom relief you need, be sure to talk to your healthcare provider as soon as possible. Do not change your dose or stop taking XADAGO unless your healthcare provider tells you to do so.

Before taking XADAGO, tell your healthcare provider about all the medications and supplements that you are taking. While taking XADAGO, discuss with your healthcare provider any medications you may consider starting or plan to take.

The most common side effects when
taking XADAGO include1:


  • Uncontrolled, sudden movements (dyskinesia)
  • Falls
  • Nausea
  • Trouble sleeping or falling asleep (insomnia)

What can you do about side effects?1

Ask your healthcare provider about which side effects are likely to occur and what PD symptoms you should watch for. Tell your healthcare provider if you have any side effects that bother you or do not go away.
